Major new cybersecurity event announced

The organisers of France’s leading cybersecurity event,

Les Assises de la Sécurité have announced an exciting prestigious conference for UK professionals.

DG Consultants will launch Cyber Security Connect UK in association with The Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG) later this year.

The three-day event will feature keynote speeches from senior industry players, expert discussions and partner workshops.

It will also give chief information security officers (CISOs) the opportunity to network and meet senior executives from the supplier community.

The organisers will cover delegates’ travel and accommodation and as with all SASIG events, there is no charge for delegates to attend.

Sophie Guerin of DG Consultants, organisers of France’s Les Assises de la Sécurité, said:

“Les Assises has long been considered the pinnacle of excellence in French cybersecurity events.

“Now in its eighteenth year, we have recreated this high-quality experience for the British CISO community.”

SASIG is a leading voice in the cybersecurity debate, comprising a network of more than 3,000 professionals.

Martin Smith MBE, Chairman and Founder of SASIG, said:

“This important brand-new annual event for the UK CISO community will become the go-to meeting for the senior echelons of our industry. We are taking the very best that other conferences offer whilst throwing out all the stuff that spoils them.

“This is the place for CISOs to establish real relationships with their peers and with those suppliers with whom they truly want to engage, participating together as equals in thought leadership and good practice.

“I am very excited to be part of this adventure.”

The Security Company (International) Limited is one of the first official Partners of Cyber Security Connect UK.

Zoe Edmeades, Managing Director at The Security Company, said:

“I am delighted that The Security Company will participate as a Partner at the first edition of Cyber Security Connect UK.

“I believe the experience will revolutionise the way we view conferences and I look forward to engaging with delegates, in a more intimate and relaxed environment.”

Mark Walmsley, Chair of the Cyber Security Connect UK Steering Committee
and CISO of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, said

“We want to create a blueprint for the one annual event that no CISO will want to miss. A concept that gets away from the stale formula of traditional exhibitions where salespeople leap on delegates to sell them their wares.

“This will be an event that delivers enjoyable, stimulating discussions with peers and vendors, and that provides access to the most innovative security technology and industry visionaries of our time.”

Cyber Security Connect UK will take place from 7-9 November 2018 at Le Méridien Congress Centre in Monaco. As for all SASIG events, there is no charge for delegates to attend and the organisers will cover delegates’ travel and accommodation
