Business Development Executive

Job Description:

We’re looking for a proactive, target-driven person with business development/client relationship management experience and the desire to become a successful B2B business operator.

As Business Development Executive, you will be a key part of the Sales team and work closely with our Marketing function to keep the sales pipeline full.

You will report directly to the Head of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

You will identify new business opportunities through the following activities:

  • Prioritise and execute top-of-funnel outbound and inbound sales activity
  • Research and contact decision-makers by email and phone to prospect for new business and establish requirements
  • Research and identify new market opportunities and how we could further our business diversification
  • Research and qualify inbound enquiries generated by the marketing team
  • Schedule follow-up meetings/calls for the senior sales team and Managing Director
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and proposals for prospective clients and statements of work
  • Manage your own reporting and maintain clean CRM data
  • Collate useful feedback from prospects and communicate to the wider team
  • Attend client meetings and events to network for business opportunities

About you:

  • You have a good head for business and know what great customer service looks like
  • You’re educated to degree level or have at least two years in an office-based business development role
  • You have great interpersonal skills
  • You’re a team player and you can work with all types of people
  • You write charming emails and have an excellent phone manner
  • You’re ambitious, open to feedback, and learn quickly on the job
  • You have high attention to detail and a focus on fact-based decision making
  • You’re happy working on your own and using your drive and initiative to solve problems, but aren’t shy about asking for help when needed
